This lets you quickly access your customized Edcetera features. You can accept or decline cookies; however, opting out may limit your use of our interactive services.
Your personal information enables us to operate our website, deliver your desired services, and inform you of additional offerings. We are committed to not selling, renting, or leasing customer lists to third parties, although we may “share” personal information with third parties for cross-context behavioral advertising purposes, which you may opt out of at any time by contacting us using the information below. Shared data with trusted partners is strictly to assist in delivering our services under stringent confidentiality obligations. Sensitive personal information is handled with special care and not used or disclosed without your explicit consent. Edcetera does not use or disclose sensitive personal information, such as a consumer’s Social Security or government ID number, account log-in or financial account credentials, precise geolocation, racial or ethnic origin, religious beliefs, sexual orientation, citizenship or immigration status, health information, biometric information, or the contents of certain private communications, without your explicit consent, except as necessary to provide the services you requested or as otherwise permitted by law. You have the right to limit our use of sensitive personal information to what is necessary to perform the services you requested.
Edcetera keeps track of the Websites and pages our customers visit within Edcetera to determine which Edcetera services are the most popular. This data is used to deliver customized content and advertising within Edcetera to customers whose behavior indicates that they are interested in a particular subject area.
Edcetera Websites will disclose your personal information only if required to do so by law or in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to: (a) conform to the edicts of the law or comply with legal process served on Edcetera or the site; (b) protect and defend the rights or property of Edcetera; and, (c) act under exigent circumstances to protect the personal safety of users of Edcetera, or the public. Where legally permitted, Edcetera will provide notice to the affected individual before responding to a subpoena or court order seeking their personal information, except where such notice is prohibited by law or where an emergency involves a risk of death or serious physical injury.
Data Retention: We retain personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this statement, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. The table below sets out our retention period, or the criteria used to determine it, for each major category of personal information.

Sensitive personal information
Retention period: Only as long as necessary for the specific purpose disclosed at collection.

Some of the periods above are floors, not ceilings: they are minimum retention requirements imposed by tax, payment-network, and professional-licensing rules. Where a deletion request under the CCPA/CPRA or a similar state law conflicts with one of these requirements, we will retain the minimum information necessary to satisfy the legal or regulatory obligation and delete the remainder.
